Previously the Chief Sustainability Officer for Veolia Water North America, Ed leads sustainability efforts in Veolia’s North American zone and also serves as the North American liaison to the global public affairs team. He supports sustainability programs at company operations, facilitates relations with key stakeholders in regard to sustainability, as well as develops and implements sustainable programs and services for Veolia’s clients in North America.
Over his more than 30-year career, Ed has worked in the private sector, including as a consultant to many clients on sustainability, environment, and energy programs. He has also served in the public sector at both the state and Federal level addressing sustainability issues. This included serving as the White House Federal Environmental Executive for five years where he focused on developing and implementing sustainability policy and practices within the Federal government. Ed served in the Pennsylvania state government in sustainability and energy, including serving as State Energy Director.
He started his career as an oil and gas geologist with Mobil Oil Corporation. He has a bachelor’s degree in geology from the State University of New York and a master’s degree also in geology from Texas A&M University.
