Energy Foundry to Co-Host Energy Thought Summit Chicago

On July 22-23, 2015, Energy Foundry will co-host the first Energy Thought Summit in Chicago (ETS@Chicago) which will bring together industry leaders for an engaging debate on the future state of energy. The ETS@ platform promotes debate and convenes thought leaders who shape change within the industry. This summer, ETS@ will host in the Midwest, recognizing the region has developed into a hotbed for energy innovation and the opportunity to highlight this activity to the rest of the world.

As a key connector in the region, Energy Foundry will co-host the summit. The energy-focused venture fund supports the emerging technologies shaping the future of energy and has a holistic understanding of the market drivers leading change within this industry. ETS@Chicago will enhance the ecosystem of entrepreneurs, investors, utilities, government, researchers, and academia by assembling the region’s industry leaders for elevated dialogue.

“Energy Foundry is extremely proud to co-host ETS@Chicago. Our region has emerged as a hub for energy innovation, setting the pace for our industry globally. ETS is a great forum to showcase our progress to the greater energy community,” said Jason Blumberg, co-founder and CEO of Energy Foundry.

“The face of the next generation will be similar to what Energy Foundry and Smart Grid Cluster do today – bringing together great minds, institutions and doers to solve the great problems of our time,” said Andrew Johnston, President of Energy Thought Summit.

Johnston added, “In the constellation of ecosystems, Energy Foundry and Smart Grid Cluster are the perfect fit to bring together the Midwest ecosystem.”
