Mr. Johnston is the President of Austin, Texas based Zpryme’s Energy Thought Summit (ETS). As ETS President he drives the strategy and vison for ETS branded events. Further, he provides strategic guidance for the company’s media, research, and advisory services in the energy, transportation, and mobile sectors.
Previously, Johnston was the Lead of Central Texas Fuel Independence Project – a 10-county advanced vehicle technology initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and led by Austin Energy. Prior to that, he worked with Landis+Gyr deploying state of the art metering technology and served as Chief of Staff to the Wharton Economist, Jeremy Rifkin. He received his degrees from The Ohio State University and The University of Texas at Austin. In 2014 Johnston received the Austin Under 40 Award for Energy and Technology.
